As you may know, there are seven storm water detention ponds serving the community. The ponds accept storm drainage and allow retention time for impurities to settle to the bottom of the ponds before the water runs into the local creeks and drainage areas. The District owns and maintains six of the seven ponds. Renovations to the ponds owned by the District were significantly completed in 2018. Additional modifications to the inlet of Pond No. 6 are expected in the fall of 2020 to reduce erosion and address a steep embankment next to the pedestrian walkway. Maintenance of the ponds will be ongoing. The Inspection and Maintenance Plan for the ponds can be viewed by clicking here. The location and ownership of each pond is noted on the Maintenance Responsibility Map.
